An important temple located in a large community named "Talat Yod." It is presumed to have been built not later than the 16th century A.D. The temple faces to the north. The Prang (Khmer style stupa) with surrounding cloister are its principle edifices. Outside the cloister, a stone engraving of Lord Buddha's Foot Print had been found.
In the reign of King Borommakot its name was changed to "Wat Worapho" such a group of monks had once travelled to Lanka (Sri Lanka) and a Buddhist mission had brought back the Phra Si Maha Pho or the Bodhi Tree to be planted in this temple.
