King Ramatipbodi (King U-Thong) (1th king of Ayutthaya) built the earth wall around the city. In 1549 A.D. King Mahajakapat (15th king) change the earth wall into brick work. After the fall of Ayutthaya King Rama I of Bangkok period moved bricks of city wall to built Bangkok. Around 1957 A.D. the government did some reconstruction like nowadays.
